

At Little Chefs Academy, we inspire kids to discover the joy of cooking, building creativity, confidence and teamwork through fun, hands-on experiences. Our goal is to foster a love for healthy, delicious food and empower young chefs to shine in the kitchen.

Curriculum

Students will have their own binder with a new recipe to read each week.

We will go over recipe as a class and discuss ingredients and what each ingredient does to impact the meal and it impacts our bodies.

Students will begin cooking/baking while learning about
measurements, and culinary terms.
- After students make their food they then will taste and discuss what they think and learned.
Nutrition
Students will explore nutrition, discovering various food properties and groups, as well as the vitamins that support our growing bodies.
Recipes
Students will learn how ton interpret recipes, learn culinary term & perfect measuring & conversion skills. They'll also create their own unique recipes.
Culinary Skills
Students will learn how to do basic & intermediate cooking skills and cook their own meals.

Students will discover how to accurately measure ingredients & perform conversions.
Cutting
Meal Prep
Students will learn to meal prep gaining skills in planning, organizing and ingredient efficiency. They'll also master time management and proper meal storage.
Cooking/Baking
Students will acquire the skills to safely operate a stove and oven in a supportive learning environment.
Students will discover various cutting and chopping techniques, along with the correct terminology associated with these methods.
Mixing
Students will discover how to combine ingredients & understand how each one can alter the texture of the final product.
